Huskers Head to Prairie Dunes for OU Intercollegiate – University of Nebraska

The Nebraska women’s golf team travels to its third tournament of the fall at the Oklahoma Intercollegiate presented by PDI at Prairie Dunes Golf Club in Hutchinson, Kan. (Oct. 6-7).

The two-day, 54-hole event hosted by the University of Oklahoma on the 6,005-yard, par-70 layout of Prairie Dunes opens with a 9 a.m. (CT) shotgun start for two rounds of continuous play on Monday, Oct. 6. Following Monday’s 36 holes, the tournament concludes with the final round on Tuesday, Oct. 7 with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. (CT).

Nebraska joins Iowa as Big Ten Conference representatives in a 14-team field that includes Baylor, Eastern Michigan, Florida, Kansas State, Nebraska, North Texas, Oklahoma State, Oral Roberts, Sam Houston, Tulsa, Wichita State and the hosts from Oklahoma.

The Huskers are coming off a fifth-place finish at the 13-team Ptarmigan Ram Invitational in Fort Collins, Colo. (Sept. 22-23).

Junior Hannah Kono finished eighth in Colorado with a two-round total of 142 (-2), including an impressive opening-round 68 (-4) followed by 74 (+2) in the second round. Kono, who will occupy the No. 1 spot in the Big Red lineup this week, posted a 74.93 stroke average over 30 rounds in her first season as a Husker in 2024-25.

Jessica Jolly, a transfer from Illinois State, tied for 12th by putting up solid back-to-back rounds of even-par 72. The sophomore from Rockford, Mich., was an All-Missouri Valley Conference performer a year ago for Coach Breanne Hall at Illinois State, helping the Redbirds to the league title and an NCAA Regional trip. Jolly posted a 75.36 stroke average over 33 rounds last season.

Freshman Ailis Tribolet and sophomore Olivia Lovegrove round out Nebraska’s lineup.
