Cards Set to Battle at the Fighting Irish Classic


LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of Louisville men’s golf team is set to take part in Fighting Irish Classic on Monday, hosted by Notre Dame at the Warren Golf Club,.

The event opens with 36 holes of continuous play on Monday with the final 18 holes being played Tuesday. 

The Fighting Irish Classic is a 12-team field that features perennial powers Oklahoma State, Tennessee, North Carolina and Purdue. Little Rock, Kent Ste, Miami (Ohio), UCLA, Indiana, Iowa, Louisiana Tech, Georgia Southern, Santa Clara and two teams from Notre Dame will dot Monday’s field.

The Cardinals are coming off a hot start to the 2025-26 season after finishing second at the highly competitive Blessings Collegiate Invitational last week. WArren Thomis posted his best finish at second place and Cooper Claycomb ended fifth. The Cards battled over the three days after moving up from eighth to second.
