Arizona Men’s Golf opens The Williams Cup with a 7-over par round that has the tied for 10th. Best round for the Cats comes from freshman William Wistrand, who is tied for 21st and carded an even par 72
Three Wildcats shot 2-over par on day one. The first is Filip Jakubcik who was 2-under through 12 but played the final six holes 4-over par. Connor Hamm was able to birdie the last hole to also finish 2-over par and tied for 39th. Matej Baca, competing as an individual, was playing his first round of the fall season and was the third player to shoot a 74.
Zach Pollo was not able to find enough red numbers and finished with a 75. Dillon Dean struggled to get things going in his round and ended the day with a 82.
The Cats will look to make up some ground on the field in the second round that starts at 5:25am MST tomorrow.
