No. 1 Wake Forest Wraps Competition at Ruth’s Chris Tar Heel Invitational

Wake Forest was one of eight teams to record an eagle during the tournament, and carded a combined 40 birdies, tied fifth amongst the field. Additionally, the Deacs ranked fourth on par five scoring and ninth on par fours.

At three over par, graduate student Morgan Ketchum grabbed her second top 10 finish of the season and notched 10 total birdies, the fifth most of the competition. Junior Macy Pate went bogey-free through her first nine holes of the day and climbed five spots from round two to finish thirty-first overall. 

Senior Anne-Sterre den Dunnen wrapped her tournament inside the top 50, with seven birdies and one eagle throughout the three rounds of play. Graduate student Casey Weidenfeld climbed four spots higher from the previous day during round three, while sophomore Chloe Kovelesky matched her low round of the three on the final day of competition, including an even par back nine.
