“We are very excited to add Barron and Max to our program,” Blagg said. “Both of them are extremely talented, and we are anxious to get them on campus.”
Barron Mundy, a native of Mississauga, Ontario, Canada, has established himself as one of the premier junior golfers in his region. He finished second at the Ontario High School Championships and captured the Region of Peel High School Championship title three consecutive seasons.
Ranked among the Top 100 in the American Junior Golf Association (AJGA) rankings, Mundy posted three Top-5 finishes in AJGA events and added a sixth place showing at another championship. He was also selected to Team Ontario (2026) and invited to the Golf Canada National Team Camp (2025).
“Barron’s natural ability and athleticism will bode well for playing the type of schedule and golf courses that we play,” Blagg said. “His enthusiasm for the game and desire to compete will complement our team perfectly.”
Mundy also placed in the Top 10 at both the Ontario U19 Junior Championships and the Ontario U19 Junior Spring Classic, while finishing sixth at the Ontario U19 Provincial Selection Camp.
A versatile athlete, Mundy was also an elite hockey player and a member of his school’s lacrosse program.
Vandermolen, from Richland, Michigan, joins the Cardinals as the top-ranked player in the state of Michigan and is currently No. 85 in the Junior Golf Scoreboard Class of 2026 rankings.
Vandermolen’s impressive resume includes being the 2025 Michigan Junior Amateur runner-up and Michigan Junior PGA Champion. His 2024 campaign featured strong finishes at elite national events — 12th at the Dye Junior Invitational, 11th at the Arnold Palmer Invitational, and fourth at the Michigan Junior Amateur Stroke Play Championship.
Vandermolen also posted a second-place finish at the 2023 Hope Valley Junior Invitational, tied for fourth with a 1-under-par at the AJGA Coca-Cola Boyne Highlands Invitational, and captured the 2022 Michigan Junior Amateur Championship (Open Division) and the Michigan Stroke Play Championship (15 & Under). He concluded that season by winning the GAM Junior Stroke Play Invitational.
