Women’s Golf wraps up day two of the Therese Hession Regional Challenge

PALOS VERDES, Calif. – Sun Devil Women’s Golf wrapped up round two of the Therese Hession Regional Challenge sitting at the No. 11 slot (+23/591) on Monday evening following the day’s play. 

Senior Paula Schulz-Hanssen led the pack for the Sun Devils, shooting one over (+1/72) on the day. Senior Beth Coulter put on a show on the back nine, finding the bottom of the cup for two birdies and a two-under perfomance on the back nine. 

Arizona State heads into day three with Coulter teeing off at the one spot, followed by senior Paula Schulz-Hanssen earning the No. 2 spot. Sophomore Isla McDonald-O’Brien will be teeing off as the No. 3 golfer. Freshmen Kate Dillonand Pimpisa “Fai” Rubrong will be playing as the No. 4 and No. 5 golfer, respectively.

The Therese Hession Regional Challenge features one of the most loaded fields of any women’s collegiate golf tournaments in 2025-26. Five of the top-10 teams in the latest Scoreboard rankings will be competing for the title at Palos Verdes Golf Club. The ranked teams include No. 2 USC, No. 3 Oregon, No. 6 Texas A&M, No. 8 Florida, No. 9 Pepperdine, No. 11 Texas, No. 13 Arizona State, No. 17 South Carolina, and No. 23 UCLA. In total, nine of the top 25 teams in the country will be in California for the event. 

In the field (15 teams): Cal, Florida, Kansas, Miami, Ohio State, Oregon, Pepperdine, San Jose State, SMU, South Carolina, Texas, Texas A&M, UCLA, UNLV, USC.

The lineup

Arizona State boasts one of the deepest and most talented rosters in the country. Senior Beth Coulter earns the top spot to kick off day three of the Therese Hession Regional Challenge for the Sun Devils. 

Senior Paula Schulz-Hanssen earned the No. 2 spot. Sophomore Isla McDonald-O’Brien will be teeing off as the No. 3 golfer. Freshmen Kate Dillonand Pimpisa “Fai” Rubrong will be playing as the No. 4 and No. 5 golfer, respectively.
