Boilermakers Wrap up Second Round in Puerto Rico – Purdue Boilermakers

RIO GRANDE, P.R. – The Purdue men’s golf team posted its second straight team round under par, but fell three spots in the team race after 36 holes at the Puerto Rico Classic.
The Boilermakers shot a 4-under par 284 for a 36-hole total of 9-under par 567 (283-284), but fell to 14th place after two rounds.
No. 1-ranked Virginia leads the tournament at 35-under par, and is followed by No. 2-ranked LSU (-30), Ohio State (-28), Tennessee (-26) and Oklahoma (-24) in the top five.
Purdue is just five shots out of 11th place and two shots behind Wisconsin in 13th place.
Sam Easterbrook recorded a strong round, moving up 15 spots into 10th place with a 5-under par 67 for a 36-hole tally of 8-under par 136 (69-67).
