Olivia Meinecke transfers to the Hokies

BLACKSBURG — Virginia Tech women’s golf head coach Carol Robertson announced Tuesday the signing of Olivia Meinecke.  She will join the Hokies for the 2026-27 season.

(2024-25) Freshman Season at Wingate: All-South Atlantic Conference second team choice… Played 35 rounds with a 74.2 average… Scoring average was third on Wingate team charts…Had one top-5 finish, five top-10s and seven top-20 finishes… Had one top-5 finish, five top-10s and seven top-20 finishes… Tied for seventh in SAC championship with a three-over-par 147.

(2025-26) Sophomore Season at Wingate: Had three top-5 finish, four top-10s and four top-20 finishes… Played 12 rounds with a 72.2 average in 4 tournaments this season… Placed second in the LeeAnn Noble Memorial with 8-under… Placed third in the St. Simons Intercollegiate with equal… Placed fourth in the Eckerd College Invitational with a 3-over.

Personal: Olivia Meinecke… Born in Bielefeld, Germany… Daughter of Jens and Ute Meinecke… Majoring in Business Management. 

Coach Robertson on Meinecke: “We’re excited to welcome Olivia to our program this fall.
