Men’s Golf Concludes Play at Gators Invitational – Penn State

GAINESVILLE, Fla. –The Penn State men’s golf team concluded its opening tournament of the Spring season, the Gators Invitational, on Sunday afternoon finishing the week 15th in the 18-team field at the Mark Bostick Golf Course.
The Nittany Lions completed the week at 36-over, 876, while the host Gators captured the title at 27-under, 813. Auburn (13-under), Oklahoma State (2-under), USF (4-over) and Charlotte (12-over) rounded out the top-5 for the week.
Alex Creamean paced the Nittany Lions finishing the week tied for 21st in the 99-player field at 2-over, 212. Creamean opened the weekend strong with a 1-under, 69, in the first round and ended with an even-par, 70, with a 73 in between to account for his final score.
Andres Barraza carded the low round for the week for Penn State with a 2-under, 68, during the second round for his lone round under par for the weekend finishing in a tie for 48th at 7-over, 217.
Jackson Saroney finished 11-over, 221, and in a tie for 69th while Will Preston and Zach Smith rounded out the team scoring at 18-over and 22-over, respectively.
