Zhou Shoots a Career Best 7-Under 64 Leading the Bears
CABO SAN LUCAS, Mexico – California men’s golf shot a 2-under 282 Sunday, ending the day in a tie for fourth place in the first round of the Cabo Collegiate.
Sophomore Ziqin Zhou had a career day, shooting a career best 7-under 64, ending the day in solo first place. This is Zhou’s lowest round since shooting a 6-under 64 at the Western Intercollegiate last season.
Redshirt junior Charlie Bundy finished the day in a tie for 11th place after shooting a 2-under 69. Freshman Xihuan Chang carded a 2-over 73, while Sihao Cong and Trevor Cox shot a 5-over 76.
The Bears are currently two strokes back of leader Oklahoma State, and one stroke behind Arkansas and Arizona State for a tie for second place.
The Bears will resume action tomorrow at 7:30 a.m. PT.
