TEMPE – Sun Devil Women’s Golf heads to the east coast to participate in the 2026 Darius Rucker Intercollegiate, hosted at Long Cove Club on Hilton Head Island off the coast of South Carolina from March 2-4.
The Darius Rucker Intercollegiate Presented by Principal Financial and PXG will return after making its television debut on GOLF Channel four years ago when it became the first all-women’s regular season collegiate golf tournament to be presented live on the network. Arizona State entered the final round of the Arizona Intercollegiate in seventh, having shot 23-over (+23/599) through the first two rounds. The Sun Devils showed promise early in the third round, reaching three-under through eight holes before finishing the day at six-over (+6/294) to shoot a combined 29-over (+29/893) during the event.
Sophomore Isla McDonald-O’Brien and freshman Kate Dillon paced the team in the final round, each carding an even-par 72. Dillon played sharp on the front nine, sinking five birdies for a one-under performance. McDonald-O’Brien was steady throughout the day, recording even par on both nines while draining three birdies to bring her team-leading birdie total to 71 on the season.

The Darius Rucker Intercollegiate features arguably the toughest field of any collegiate golf tournament on the 2025-26 schedule. No. 21 Arizona State is one of 11 Top-25 teams in the latest Clipp’d rankings heading to Hilton Head, South Carolina.
