Freshman Tied For Fourth Place
STANFORD – California freshman Trevor Cox led the Bears on day two of The Goodwin, carding a four-under par 66 on Friday. Cox finished in a tie for fourth place at six-under par.
After shooting a two-under par 68 on Thursday, redshirt junior Sihao Cong shot a 2-over 72 on Friday, ending the day in a tie for 28th place at even par.
Sophomore Ziqin Zhou shot a 2-over 72 Tuesday, ending the day at 3-over par for the tournament.
The Bears are tied for seventh place as a team after shooting a 10-over 285 Tuesday. They trail sixth place Washington State by two strokes entering the final round.
BYU and UCLA are tied for the team lead at 12-under par, while Long Beach State senior Alejandro de Castro Piera leads the field at nine-under par.
The Bears will begin play tomorrow at 7:10 a.m. PT.
