Wildcats Sits in The Middle of The Pack Headed Into Final Round of Huntington Bank Collegiate


The Arizona Women’s Golf team opened play at the Huntington Bank Collegiate with a strong showing through the first two rounds, positioning themselves at 4-under par overall and tied for sixth place at Trinity Forest Golf Club.

Leading the way for the Wildcats has been Nena Wongthanavimok, sitting at 5-under overall. After firing a 5-under 67 in round one, Wongthanavimok followed with an even-par 72 in the second round to sit in a tie for sixth. 

Kinsley Ni has also been a standout for Arizona, who sits at 4-under par through 36 holes. Ni followed up a 2-under round of 70 in the opening round with another solid 2-under 70 in round two to finish the day tied for ninth.

 


Maria Cabanillas is 3-over par through two rounds, rebounding from a 3-over 75 in the opening round with an even-par 72. Sara Vitasek sits at 2-over overall after posting rounds of 75 and 77Julia Misemer is at 22-over through 36 holes after rounds of 82 and 84.

Arizona will look to build on its momentum as it aims to climb the leaderboard in the final day of competition at Trinity Forest GC.
