TALLAHASSEE – The No. 25 Florida State men’s golf team will close out the regular season at the Lewis Chitengwa Memorial Tournament in Charlottesville, Virginia at the Birdwood Golf Club, running from April 13-14.
The Seminoles will be up against three other top 25 teams and four ACC programs, including second-ranked Virginia, who is the host. The teams will play 36 holes on Monday with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m., and finish the tournament on Tuesday, playing 18. Florida State took home the team title in 2025, at 13-under, 839. Luke Clanton was the champion at 5-under, 208 followed by Gray Albright in second place at 3-under, 210.
Florida State is led by Tyler Weaver, who is coming off a victory at the Valspar Championship. Weaver was named the ACC Co-Golfer of the Month for March after shooting 15-under, 198 behind rounds of 65, 66 and 67 at the Floridian Golf Club. Weaver’s total tied for the third lowest in program history. His victory moved him to sixth in the World Amateur Golf Rankings, the highest rank of his career.
The Seminoles tied for fifth place at the Valspar, at 3-under, 228, finishing ahead of eight ranked teams.
