Wake Forest is one of two teams in the conference ranked in the top-10 entering the week, behind only the Stanford Cardinal.
During the 2025 championship, Wake Forest women’s golf narrowly fell to the Seminoles 3-2 in the final round of match play following a dominant performance over No. 1 Stanford in the semifinals.
Also to note, Wake Forest boasts a strong individual title history with alum Rachel Keuhn securing the individual title in 2024 and Emilia Migliaccio doing so in 2019. The Deacs captured their most recent conference title at the same course in 2024, defeating the Clemson Tigers.
In the Deacs’ last time out as a squad, the team closed its regular season out tied for a third place finish at the Charles Schwab Women’s Collegiate Invitational, in Fort Worth, Texas. At four-over-par, junior Macy Pate and senior Anne-Sterre den Dunnen matched for a T12 finish. Den Dunnen posted her best round of the week at one-under, also carding the low round of the competition for the Deacs.
This past April, Pate, joined by sophomore Chloe Kovelesky, attended the Augusta National Women’s Amateur. In her debut Kovelesky went five-under-par and cemented herself safely inside the cutline at T6 while Pate advanced to the final round for the first time, after narrowly missing the cut in 2025.
The championship format features three rounds of stroke play, where the top six teams will then advance to the first round and semifinals of match-play on Saturday and the final round on Sunday.
Wake Forest will tee off hole 1 at 7:30 a.m. with no. 1-seed Stanford and no. 3-seed Duke on Thursday. Round two will commence that afternoon following the conclusion of round one.
