This Week in Wake Forest Women’s Athletics – Presented by Truist (April 6-12)

  • Track & Field: 

    • Seven women selected to the 2026 Wake Forest All-ACC Academic Team 
    • The Demon Deacons will close out the regular season of their outdoor slate next week with a pair of meets. 
    • The Deacs open the week at the Jim Greene Invitational from Friday, May 1, to Saturday, May 2, before closing the regular season at the Duke Twilight on Sunday, May 3.

  • Women’s Golf: 

    • The Demon Deacons will continue its postseason at the NCAA Regionals, as Wake Forest will find out its regional site on Apr. 29. 
    • The NCAA Selection Show will be televised on 5 p.m. on the Golf Channel.  

  • Women’s Basketball: 

    • Head coach Megan Gebbia announced the signing of Polish freshman forward Helena Danielewicz on Friday. 
    • She marks the fifth scholarship addition to the 2026–27 roster, alongside Cincinnati transfer Ramiyah Byrd. 
    • Danielewicz joins a four-player freshman class that includes Awele Okoh, Oshauna Holland, and Adora Nwude.
