The three-day, 54-hole event begins with tee times off No. 1 and No. 10 at 11:30 a.m. (CT) on Friday, May 1. The tournament continues on the same schedule for Saturday’s second round, before concluding with the same schedule on Sunday, May 3.
The Big Ten Network will provide live final-round coverage on Sunday beginning at 4:30 p.m. (CT).
The 18 Big Ten teams will be challenged by a par-72, 7,015-yard layout as they contend for the 104th Big Ten title. No. 12 Illinois headlines five top-50 teams in the field, followed by No. 26 USC, No. 33 UCLA, No. 41 Purdue and No. 49 Northwestern. No. 52 Washington, No. 62 Oregon, No. 65 Ohio State, No. 71 Minnesota, No. 76 Michigan State, No. 83 Nebraska, No. 84 Iowa, No. 86 Rutgers, No. 88 Michigan, No. 97 Maryland and No. 98 Indiana give the Big Ten 16 top-100 teams. No. 108 Wisconsin and No. 121 Penn State round out the field.
Junior Rudy Sautron has been a force for the Huskers, capturing back-to-back tournament titles at the Hal Williams Collegiate and The Johnnie-O at Sea Island in record-breaking fashion. Sautron fired a school-record 18-under-par 198 to share the championship at The Johnnie-O (March 9-10). It followed a school-record 195 (-15) at the Hal Williams Collegiate (Feb. 16-17). His effort in Semmes, Ala., included a school-record 62 (-8).
Sautron has tied the school record for titles in a single season, matching Jamie Rogers (1997-98) with three, including a then-school-record 200 (-13) at the Git-R-Done Invitational (Sept. 22-23). Sautron heads to Oregon ranked 97th nationally as one of the 10 Big Ten golfers in the top 100, following No. 47 Jaden Dumdumaya (USC), No. 57, Max Herendeen (Illinois), No. 64 Ryan Voois (Illinois), No. 66 Daniel Svard (Northwestern), No. 71 Dane Huddleston (Illinois), No. 73 Emil Riegger (Maryland), No. 77 Trey Marrion (Illinois), No. 78 Ryan Shellberg (Iowa) and No. 94 Baylor Larrabee (UCLA).
A three-time Big Ten Golfer-of-the-Week, Sautron owns a team-best 70.17 stroke average over 35 rounds this season, which represents a 1.53 stroke per round improvement over his school-record 71.70 stroke average a year ago. Jackson Benge has been a reliable scorer for the Huskers. The sophomore from Omaha carries a 71.91 stroke average over 35 rounds and owns seven top-25 finishes this season.
