Women's Golf No. 2 Seed In NCAA Chapel Hill Regional


North Carolina is the No. 2 seed in the NCAA Women’s Golf Chapel Hill Regional, which the Tar Heels will host May 11-13 at UNC Finley Golf Club.
 
The 12th-ranked Tar Heels are one of 12 teams and six individuals selected to play in the Chapel Hill Regional. The top five teams and the low individual not on one of those five teams after 54 holes of competition will advance to the NCAA Championship, which begins May 22 in Carlsbad, Calif.
 
The Chapel Hill Regional field includes:

Seed 7             Michigan State
Seed 8             NC State
Seed 9             High Point

Individual 1     Pinky Chaisilprungruang, Charlotte
Individual 2     Thanana Kotchasanmanee, Princeton
Individual 3     Victoria Levy, UNCW
Individual 4     Zoe Duval, Appalachian State
Individual 5     Caroline Patterson, UNC Asheville
Individual 6     Norah Seidl, Montana State
 
UNC Finley is one of six regional sites across the country. The others include Ann Arbor, Mich.; Simpsonville, Ky.; Stanford, Calif.; Tallahassee, Fla.; and Waco, Texas.
 
This is the fifth consecutive season head coach Aimee Neff‘s squad has earned a bid to an NCAA regional.
 
The Tar Heels advanced to the semifinals of the ACC Championship earlier this month. They finished sixth in stroke play before defeating Wake Forest in the match-play quarterfinals.
 
Carolina is hosting an NCAA regional for the first time since 2001.
