CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Marie Eline Madsen has been tabbed to the 2026 All-ACC Women’s Golf Team for the second consecutive year. Madsen is one of 15 chosen on the all-conference team. She is the fourth golfer in school history to win all-conference honors in back-to-back years.
Madsen is ranked No. 22 in the Scoreboard by Clippd Ranking and is No. 20 in the World Amateur Golf Ranking.
Madsen leads the squad with a 70.93 scoring average, on track to break the single-season scoring record she set a season before (71.23). She has logged three wins this season, including a program-record five career victories. Those wins this season have come at the Cougar Classic, behind a program 54-hole record 15-under 198, as well as the Daniel Island Invitational and City of Oaks Collegiate. Madsen has registered seven top 10 finishes and nine top 20 showings in 10 tournaments.
This season, Madsen has logged 22 rounds at par or better and 10 rounds in the 60s. She is coming off a tie for sixth at the ACC Championship behind a 6-under 210. Madsen has logged 102 birdies and 341 pars this season. She was ACC Co-Golfer of the Month in March, becoming the third golfer in school history to win the monthly award and the first since 2018.
Madsen was just recently selected to play at the Arnold Palmer Cup for Team International, becoming the first women’s golfer in school history to represent the Wolfpack at the event. She is the fifth Wolfpack golfer among the men’s and women’s programs to be selected. Madsen was also one of 72 invited to play at the Augusta Women’s National Amateur, which she took part in at Champions Retreat and Augusta National last month.
Madsen and the Wolfpack are set for postseason with the NCAA Chapel Hill Regional at UNC Finley Golf Club from Monday, May 11 to Wednesday, May 13. The first golfer for the Wolfpack will tee off at 8:55 a.m. off the first tee Monday. Live results can be followed by clicking this link.
