COLUMBUS, Ohio – South Carolina is set to begin play at the NCAA Columbus Regional on Monday morning at OSU Golf Club’s Scarlett Course. The Gamecocks are the No. 7 seed at the 13-team regional site and will be one of eight teams ranked in the top-50 of the latest Clippd Poll competing this week.
It’s the 32nd all-time NCAA Regional appearance for the Gamecocks and the second under head coach Rob Bradley, who led Carolina to its first NCAA Championship appearance since 2019 last season in Bremerton, Wash.
Carolina has six top-five finishes in 10 stroke play events this season with a team scoring average of 283.37, which is currently fourth-lowest in program history. The Gamecocks advanced to match play recently at the SEC Championship for the first time since 2021.
Redshirt senior All-American Frankie Harris has put together another strong season with three wins and eight top-20 finishes in his 10 starts. He became the program’s all-time wins leader with his sixth career victory in March at the Hootie at Bulls Bay Intercollegiate. His season scoring average of 69.57 is the lowest individual score average in program history. Harris, a First Team All-SEC selection, was named one of 15 players to the Fred Haskins Award Postseason Watch List recently and has ascended all the way up to No. 7 in the latest PGA TOUR University rankings.
Harris is joined in the lineup this week by senior Zach Adams, junior Brock Blais, sophomore Marek Fleming and freshman Talan Harrison. Freshman August Petersson will be the team’s substitute this week in Columbus and can be subbed into the lineup prior to the start of any round if necessary. Adams, Blais and Harris all were a part of the lineup last season that helped push Carolina through the NCAA Bremerton Regional.
The Gamecocks will be paired with Cal and South Florida the opening round. Blais will be the first player off at 8:25 a.m. (ET) on hole one. Clippd will have live scoring all week for each of the six regional sites across the country. Live scoring for the NCAA Columbus Regional can be found here.
