North Carolina’s Ing Iadpluem and Marie Prats-Rigual shot 1-under-par 71s Sunday in the third round as the Tar Heels made the 54-hole cut at the 2026 NCAA Women’s Golf Championship on the North Course at the Omni La Costa Resort and Spa in Carlsbad, Calif.
Carolina entered the day tied for 18th place at 11 over par but improved five spots to a tie for 13th after shooting 1 under Sunday.
The top 15 teams in the 30-team field advanced to Monday’s fourth and final round of stroke play. Carolina is tied with SMU in 13th, two strokes ahead of defending NCAA champion Northwestern.
Wake Forest (+13), LSU (+13), Tennessee (+15), Virginia (+15), Houston (+16), Auburn (+17), Texas A&M (+18), Florida State (+21)and Kentucky (+21) were the first nine teams that missed the cut.
Prats-Rigual (73-75-71) and Iadpluem (77-71-71) lead UNC at 3-over 219. Reagan Southerland (72-75-73) is 4 over, Helen Yeung (73-76-72) is 5 over and Megan Streicher (75-73-74) is 6 over.
Stanford leads the team standings at 21 under, five strokes ahead of USC (-16), Oklahoma State is third (-10), Texas is fourth (-6) followed by Iowa State and Arkansas at 3 under, and Florida, Arizona State and Duke at 2 over par.
The top eight teams after Monday’s final round of stroke play advance to match play on Tuesday.
Texas’ Farah O’Keefe and USC’s Catherine Park are the individual leaders at 10-under 206.
