Davis Riley extended his advantage over the field on Saturday, with the American carding a four-under third round of 66 to sit four shots clear of World No.1, Scottie Scheffler, heading into Sunday.
Bidding for a second PGA Tour title and his first since the Zurich Classic of New Orleans in April 2023, Riley is in prime position to pick up the trophy at Colonial Country Club, with the American producing just three bogeys throughout his first three rounds.
As mentioned, Scheffler is in pursuit of his fellow countryman, with the World No.1 coming off a dramatic PGA Championship last week that saw him arrested on Friday. Despite that drama, and a poor first round of 72, the 27-year-old has carded a 65 and 63 to get to 10-under, four back of Riley.
Amongst the other challengers are Pierceson Coody and Hayden Buckley, who sit at nine-under-par and five back, whilst Robby Shelton is at eight-under and six back. Rounding out the top 10 are the likes of Tony Finau (-7), Collin Morikawa (-6), Keegan Bradley (-6) and Sungjae Im (-6).
