PowaKaddy CT8 GPS Electric Trolley Review

The new graphics are a neat update to the CT8 GPS

Take one look at the list of features of the CT8 GPS on the PowaKaddy website and you’ll likely be overwhelmed by the amount of content packed into this relatively small golf trolley. I’ll give you the highlights in this review, but the top line news it that the newly updated compact GPS trolley has been refined even further for 2024.

While we are now familiar with embedded GPS systems in electric trolleys, the CT8 GPS offers one of the largest touch screen GPS displays despite its compact chassis size. The 3.5” full colour display is the largest to ever appear on a PowaKaddy trolley and it’s one of the most responsive we’ve used too. Pleasingly, it works well in the rain and in bright conditions and the touch screen even works with a golf glove which is a great touch.

The team at PowaKaddy has gone to great efforts to update the graphics on the GPS system for 2024. New Advanced Green View sees the green view you get on the GPS match the exact shape of the green you’re approaching with surrounding bunkers and hazards also mapped out on the device. A directional approach arrow allows you to visuale Coupled with the Drop Pin feature, which allows you to place a pin on the green for an exact yardage, and I found I really wasn’t missing my normal rangefinder for yardages of course. The updates to the 2024 edition are impressive and come on top of all the basic distances to greens and hazards you come to expect from GPS systems.
