Li, McMyler to Compete in Women’s Western Amateur


DURHAM, N.C. – Duke women’s golfers Katie Li and Emma McMyler are set to compete in the 124th Women’s Western Amateur, which will take place July 15-20 at the Onwentsia Club in Lake Forest, Ill.
 
All golfers will play 36 holes of stroke play with the top 32 advancing to match play action July 18-20.  The round of 32 and 16 will be played July 18, followed by the quarterfinal and semifinal rounds July 19.  The championship match will be played July 20. 
 
Both Li and McMyler are paired together in the opening round and will tee off beginning at 8:40 a.m. (7:40 a.m. CT). 
 
Former Duke standout Brittany Lang claimed the Women’s Western Amateur title in 2003 along with Stephanie Sparks (1993) and Sarah LeBrun Ingram (1991).
