Robertson reveals 2024-25 women’s golf schedule

BLACKSBURG – The Virginia Tech women’s golf team has announced its 2024-25 schedule led by 11th-year head coach Carol Robertson. The 2024-25 campaign includes nine regular-season tournaments, including six that are new to Tech’s schedule from last year.

Entering their 10th season of competition, the Hokies open at the Cougar Classic hosted by College of Charleston, Sept. 9-10. The field will compete at Yeamans Hall Club in Charleston, S.C. Tech will return to the Schooner Fall Classic, an event the squad finished runner-up at a year ago. The 54-hole event will be hosted by Oklahoma, Sept. 21-23, at Belmar Golf Club in Norman, Okla.

Robertson and company will be part of the exclusive Blessings Collegiate Invitational hosted by the University of Arkansas, Sept. 30-Oct. 2. The unique format includes the Virginia Tech women’s and men’s golf teams playing the same course at the same time, and each school having all five members of its teams playing the same holes together. A men’s team, women’s team, combined team, men’s individual and women’s individual champion will each be crowned at the Blessings Golf Club.

Tech closes its fall slate in North Carolina at the Ruth’s Chris Tar Heel Invitational (Oct. 11-13) and the Landfall Tradition (Oct. 25-27).

Each of the Hokies’ four spring tournaments will be new, leading off with the Advance Golf Partners Collegiate, Feb. 10-11, at Hammock Creek Golf Club in Palm City, Fla. Tech then heads to Daniel Island, S.C., for the Daniel Island Invitational, Feb. 24-25. College of Charleston will host the two-day tournament at the Daniel Island Club.

The Hokies will take part in the Yale Invitational, March 10-11, at the PGA West Stadium Course in La Quinta, Calif. The regular-season finale will be at the Ironwood Invitational, March 31-Apr. 1, at Ironwood Golf and Country Club in Greenville, N.C.

The ACC Women’s Golf Championship is scheduled for Apr. 16-19 at Sedgefield Country Club in Greensboro, N.C. NCAA regionals are set for May 5-7, followed by the NCAA Championship at Omni La Costa Resort and Spa in Carlsbad, Calif., May 16-21.
