Before their tee time Thursday, dad Scott Gutchewski got razzed by his sons Luke and Trevor on social media, just a little good-natured family ribbing as the trio looked ahead to their first round together at the Korn Ferry Tour’s Pinnacle Bank Championship.
It is indeed a family affair for the Gutchewskis at The Club at Indian Creek in their hometown in Omaha, where mom Amy is following along in the gallery.
Scott is a member of the PGA Tour but chose to enter the Korn Ferry Tour event this week as his sons Luke, a senior at Iowa State, and Trevor, a senior-to-be this fall in high school, were granted sponsor exemptions. Just two weeks ago, Scott, a day after missing the cut at the 3M Open, was in Detroit to catch Trevor win the U.S. Junior Amateur. Luke won the Nebraska Junior Amateur in 2020.
Thursday in Omaha, the fun began before any tees were stuck in the ground.

As how the golf went, dad birdied the ninth hole – the threesome started on No. 10 – to post a 1-under 70. Trevor had a birdie try on the ninth to beat his dad but settled for par, also recording a 1-under 70. They are tied for 22nd. As for Luke, he’s tied for 83rd after a 1-over 71, although he recovered nicely from a 3-over start to go 2 under over his last 16 holes.
The top 65 and ties make the weekend at the Korn Ferry Tour event and so far, two of the three Gutschewskis are on the right side of the cutline with 18 more holes to come Friday, where the trio will tee off on the first hole in the afternoon.
Next on the tee: The Gutschewski Family ❤️
