PULLMAN, Wash. (September 6, 2024) – Washington State Women’s Golf heads to Kentucky to open the 2024-25 season at the Bettie Lou Evans Invitational beginning Sunday.
The Course and Tournament Format
The 2024 Bettie Lou Evans Invitational will be played at Champion Trace at Keene Trace Golf Club in Nicholasville, Kentucky Sept 8-10 and hosted by the University of Kentucky.
The course will play as a par-72 at 6,261 yards.
Teams will play 18 holes all three days with WSU starting Sunday at 6:30 a.m. (PT). Monday’s second round play will start with tee times while Tuesday’s final round will have a shotgun start.

Last Time Out
Then-junior Madelyn Gamble concluded the 2024 NCAA Cle Elum Regionals in Washington. Gamble was the sixth WSU women’s golfer in program history to earn an individual selection for an NCAA Regional. Gamble gave the Cougars their second straight NCAA selection after Darcy Hobgood played in the NCAA Pullman Regional in 2023. Gamble joins Hobgood, Alivia Brown (2018), Tasha Browner (2001), Eryn Remington (1994), and Becky Fossum as the only WSU women’s golfers to play at the NCAA Regionals as an individual. Last year, the Pleasant Hill, California native led the Cougars with a scoring average of 73.22, the third-best scoring average in program history. Gamble collected eight top-25 finishes last season, which includes a pair of top-10 finishes, and she carded 15 par-or-better rounds.

The 2024-25 Washington State women’s golf team features seven members including senior 2024 NCAA participant Madelyn Gamble and senior Sarah Skovgaard Bils, junior Hannah Harrison, sophomores Alic Johansson and Sara Pineros along with freshmen Agnes Brink and Grace Rubelsky.
