Virginia Golf | Cavaliers Stand in Second After Day Two in Georgia

ALPHARETTA, Ga. – The No. 4 Virginia men’s golf team is one shot back from the overall lead heading into the final round of the Golf Club of Georgia Collegiate after combining for a six-under, 282 on Saturday (Oct. 19). Four Cavaliers shot par or better, led by junior Bryan Lee who posted a three-under 69.

Lee tallied four birdies and logged his second eagle of the tournament with a three on the par-5 ninth hole. The junior is among three Cavaliers in the top-10 after the second day of competition. Sophomore Josh Duangmanee is five shots off the lead and after a 2-under, 70 is in third place on the individual leaderboard.

Junior Ben James carded a 1-under 71 in his second round and finds himself 4-under for the tournament, good for seventh place. Paul Chang rounded out the UVA scorers with his second-straight even-par 72.

The tournament concludes on Sunday with the third and final round. The first Cavalier is set to tee off at 10:20 a.m.
