MARIETTA, Ga. – Finishing up the Golf Club of Georgia Collegiate with a solid third and final round, the Washington men’s golf team placed 12th with a final score of 878, 14 shots over par.
Sophomore Finn Koelle both led the Huskies on the day and for the weekend. The German international posted a 72, capping the tournament at even-par, tying for 28th.
A trio of Huskies carded one-over rounds as Drew Warford, Jack Murphy and Jake Foley all posted a 73 during the third round.
Tallying a steady round with 13 pars, Warford ended the tournament at two-over, tying for 36th. Meanwhile, Murphy weathered the highs and lows of four birdies, three bogies and a double-bogey for his 73, tying for 61st at eight over.
Meanwhile, Foley rebounded from a couple of tough rounds earlier in the weekend with his own one-over round, carding three birdies and 11 pars, ending the tournament in 73rd at 14-over.
Despite having his two-over round dropped from the team score, Abel Derksen wrapped up a solid weekend at five-over, tying for 49th overall.
With the fall season concluded, Washington will return to action Jan. 27-29 at the Southwestern Invitational, hosted at North Ranch Country Club in Thousand Oaks, Calif.
