Women’s Golf Welcomes Signee Celeste Mangeat


COLLEGE PARK, MD — Maryland women’s golf head coach Kelly Hovland signed Celeste Mangeat (Geneva, Switzerland) to the roster for the 2025-26 season recently. 

Emily McKee (Oakville, Ontario, Canada) and Noa Terroba Toro (Malaga, Spain) both signed National Letters of Intent to come to the University of Maryland last month.

  • Named to Swiss National Girls Team (2023, 2024, 2025)
  • Finished 12th in the European Girls Team Championship in 2023 and 2024

Hovland on Mangeat: Celeste has competed at the highest level of European Junior golf and that experience will help her transition to Big Ten golf quickly. Her participation on the Swiss national team for many years will enable her to integrate into our team easily and provide leadership essential for any successful team.”

Mangeat on Maryland: “I wanted to come to Maryland for the coaching staff, the campus and its proximity to Washington D.C.”
