AUSTIN, Texas – The Tennessee women’s golf team is set to tee off in its third event of the spring season on Monday at the Betsy Rawls Longhorn Invitational, hosted by the University of Texas.
The event is set to be played at the par-72 University of Texas Golf Club.
The tournament will tee off with 36 holes of play on Monday, followed by an 18-hole round on Tuesday.
The Lady Vols are coming off a top-5 finish at the Daniel Island Invitational where the team shot a 3-over 867.
This effort was led by junior Manassanan Chotikabhukkana, who enters this week’s tournament as Tennessee’s top performer. She is tied with senior Bailey Davis for the most top-10 finishes this season with three each.
THE LADY VOLS’ LINEUP
Bailey Davis
Davis continues to lead the Lady Vols in season scoring average with a 72.33 mark. The senior shot a second-round even-par 72 at the Daniel Island Invitational, tying for 36th.
Manassanan Chotikabhukkana
Chotikabhukkana collected a top-5 finish of her own and her first of the year at the Daniel Island Invitational. The Thailand native shot an impressive 7-under 209, marking the lowest 54-hole score in relation to par for the Lady Vols this season.
Kyra Van Kan
The freshman has appeared in every tournament this season, proving to be a valuable asset to the Lady Vol lineup. Van Kan shot an even par in the first and third rounds of the Daniel Island Invitational to tie for 30th overall.
Martina Lopez-Lanchares
The sophomore makes her way back into the lineup for her fourth showing of the season. Lopez-Lanchares last competed at the Moon Golf Invitational where she contributed
Sofie Engeseth
The Norway native earns a spot in the lineup for the second consecutive tournament and third as a Lady Vol. Last time out, the sophomore tied for 38th at the Daniel Island Invitational.
