Van Kan In Third, Lady Vols In Fourth After Two Rounds At Betsy Rawls Longhorn Invitational

AUSTIN, Texas – Tennessee women’s golfer Kyra Van Kan is in third after two rounds at the Betsy Rawls Longhorn Invitational as the Lady Vols are in fourth place.

Van Kan opened the event with a 1-under 71, which was just one of two under-par rounds in the field in round one. The freshman then went on to shoot a 74 in round two and currently sits four shots back of the lead at 1-over overall.

Bailey Davis also sits inside the top 10 after providing a pair of contributing rounds on Monday. The senior posted a 74 in round one and followed it up with a second-round 76.

Martina Lanchares-Lopez also provided UT with counting scores on day one after posting a pair of 78s. The sophomore is currently tied for 32nd ahead of the final round.

Manassanan Chotikabhukkana enters the final round tied for 38th after carding a 79 in round one and a 78 in her second round on Monday. 

Tennessee’s final member of the lineup, Sofie Engeseth, shot a 76 to open the tournament and an 83 in round two.
