TOURNAMENT HISTORY
The Gators are tied for second all-time in the SEC with 16 conference championships with LSU. Florida won its first title in 1955 and defended it the following season. Between 1988-1996, UF has claimed five championships, including four consecutive from 1991-1994. The other four years they finished runner-up and third twice.
In the match play portion, Florida is 7-4 all-time with victories over Georgia (2022), Ole Miss (2018, 2023), South Carolina (2017), Texas A&M (2022, 2023) and Vanderbilt (2023).
Last year, a new Gators lineup reached the quarterfinals and faced Vanderbilt for the third consecutive year (finals in 2022 & 2023). The match was decided in extra holes with the Dores winning the match 3-2.
In his first SECs, Jack Turned finished tied for runner-up in stroke play and won his match in the quarterfinals after being two down with three holes remaining. His runner-up performance ties the second-best finish by a Gator true freshman at the SEC Championship with Camilo Villegas, who placed T2 in 2001.
