Washington Wraps Up Play At Chevron Silverado Showdown


NAPA, Calif. – The Washington women’s golf team concluded play today at the Chevron Silverado Showdown, finishing tied for 12th after three rounds at Silverado CC & Resort. The Huskies posted a +16 in the final round, bringing their tournament total to +35.

Northwestern (-4) and Southern California (-2) were the only teams to finish under par, securing the top two spots on the leaderboard in the 16-team field.

Vivian Lu led the Huskies, tying for 21st individually at three-over for the tournament. After opening with back-to-back rounds of 71, Lu carded a five-over in the third round to close out the tournament.

Athena Ni, Amber Li, and Wendy Tang each finished tied for 53rd at 12-over. Ni shot consecutive rounds of two-over par to start the event before slipping to an 80 in the final round. Li stayed steady in the third round with a four-over, while Tang rebounded from a second-round 78 with a team-round-best of 74.

Carmen Lim rounded out the Husky lineup, tying for 63rd at +14 for the tournament. She closed the showdown by carding a 77 to match her second-round score, after a four-over par in the first round.

Washington will return to action later this month at the Big-10 Championships, held April 18–20 in Havre De Grace, Maryland.
