University of Missouri men’s golf wrapped up action at the SEC Championship on Friday.
For the second-straight day, graduate student Mattias Varjun led the Tigers in scoring. During the final round of stroke play, Varjun carded a two-under 68 to move up 12 spots on the leaderboard with a final tally of +4 (74-72-68). The highlight for Varjun came on the 15th hole (his sixth hole of day) as he registered an eagle three on the par five. Overall, Varjun started strong with a four-under tally through his first 10 holes en route to the 68 finish.
Varjun was followed in the lineup by junior Virgilio Paz at +7 (68-74-75), freshman Trent Mierl at +8 (69-76-73), sophomore Veikka Viskari at +11 (73-73-75) and sophomore Brock Snyder at +11 (73-73-75).
As a team, the Tigers finished 16th with No. 2 Ole Miss leading after three rounds of stroke play.
