Washington Finishes 17th At First Big Ten Championship


BALTIMORE – Facing challenging conditions that kept all 18 teams in the field above par, the Washington men’s golf team rounded out the Big Ten Championship 26 shots over on Sunday, finishing 17th at 45-over for the weekend
 
Drew Warford and Finn Koelle tied for the team lead at 11-over, tied for 50th. Warford posted the team’s low round of the day with a five-over 75, while Koelle carded a 78.
 
Jake Foley matched Warford’s 75 to tie for the team lead on Sunday, moving up five spots into a tie for 80th at 16-over, while Jack Murphy’s 78 put him at 12-over for the tournament, tied for 58th.
 
Brock Maulding slogged through an 11-over 81, finishing the weekend 20 shots over par to place 87th.
 
The performance caps the 2024-25 season for the Huskies. However, Washington will play host to the 2025 Bremerton Regional at Gold Mountain Golf Club May 12-14. The regional field will be announced on Wednesday, April 30.
