Tennessee now has eight All-America selections in seven seasons under the direction of head coach Brennan Webb.
Simpson is coming off a redshirt junior season where he was UT’s highest finisher at NCAA Championships and led the Vols with four top-10 finishes.
Additionally, the Knoxville native posted a career-high 24 rounds of par or lower this season, which marks the third-most in a single season in program history.
His best outings of the season came at the Visit Knoxville Collegiate and Fighting Irish Classic where he was UT’s highest finisher after tying for third.
This marks the second postseason honor for Simpson, as he was named to the PING All-Southeast Region team in May.
Simpson, who recently qualified for the U.S. Open at Oakmont Country Club, will make his major debut. The tournament is set to start on June 12 and run through June 15.
