Viera, Fla. — Northwestern women’s golf turned in a sixth-place finish at the Columbia Classic, which took place at the Duran Golf Club in Viera, Fla. The Wildcats finished the event +34 (898) with all five teams ahead of them currently ranked in the Top-30.
Virginia Tech took home the title after posting a +16 (880).
FULL RESULTS
Northwestern has a pair of individuals finish in the Top-15 with Lauryn Nguyen tying for 12th and Jieni Li earning a tie in 15th place. Nguyen led the way for NU with three rounds of 74 to post a 222, while Li shot an opening round 73 before posting back-to-back rounds of 75. Kelly Sim tallied eight birdies during the three rounds.
The Wildcats return to action on Feb. 28 for the Darius Rucker Invitational in Hilton Head, S.C.
