For the brand new AW22 collection, Callaway Apparel (opens in new tab) – The Official On Course Apparel of the DP World Tour – used strong market insights and customer research to identify key golfer needs, and the result is an expansive, multifunctional product line.
The AW22 range is inspired by nature and the outdoors with two main colour palettes, Industrial Green and Chateau Grey, that link perfectly to the focus given to natural fibres, fabrics and looks.
The first delivery takes inspiration from natural landscapes, with highlighter brights to accent the neutrals, making the range more golf-friendly and trans-seasonal. The prints are inspired by abstract landscapes, foliage, and rough terrains/textures.
The second delivery is also inspired by nature but this time adds a nocturnal perspective, with colours such as technical blues, a new take on burgundy, and pops of acidic brights (like surreal green) for an important, active twist.
The prints also reinterpret nature in abstract and impressionist forms, adding geo shapes to modernise the aesthetic.
Helen Willsmer, Callaway Apparel’s Brand Director, commented: “Product performance and style are critical components of a successful collection and in AW22, this has come to the fore. We have also recognised the importance of creating garments sustainably, and we now manufacture using a minimum of 25% recycled fabrics.
“Callaway Apparel will always be an authentic-to-golf company – we are proud of our ‘We Fit The Game’ brand positioning. We unashamedly focus on golf performance for passionate players, but we are also recognising the emergence of new, diverse, environmentally-conscious audiences.
“There is now a specific market segment and trend whereby the end user wants a multi-function edge to their clothing. Our products fit the modern 360 way of participating in golf and therefore have an extended shelf appeal away from the course too.”
