Rod Myers Invitational Final Results
DURHAM, N.C. – The Penn State men’s golf team wrapped up its first competition of the fall season Saturday afternoon at Duke’s Rod Myers Invitational.
Penn State finished 13th in the strong 14-team field. The Nittany Lions shot a 17-over, 305, in Saturday’s third and final round to end the competition at 36-over, 900.
Senior Patrick Sheehan led the way for the Nittany Lions, finishing tied for 28th at 4-over, 220. Sheehan carded a 4-over, 76, in Saturday’s final round.
Sophomore Jake Griffin carded a 6-over, 78, Saturday and finished tied for 37th at 8-over, 224.
Sophomore Morgan Lofland had his best round of the tournament Saturday, a 3-over, 75. He placed tied for 57th at 12-over, 228.
Junior James Allen finished at 14-over, 230, and tied for 65th. Senior Jimmy Meyers was 18-over, 234, and finished in 71st place.
Penn State returns to action Sept. 26-27 at Wake Forest’s Old Town Club Collegiate.
