COLLEGE PARK, MD – Each week during the 2022-23 season, a Maryland student-athlete, who has shown excellence on and off the playing field, will be selected as the Solomon Eye Physicians & Surgeons Terp of the Week.
This week’s Solomon Eye Physicians & Surgeons Terp of the Week is junior Patricie Mackova of the women’s golf team.
Junior Patricie Mackova earned this week’s Solomon Eye Terp of the Week honor. She won the Yale Invitational individual title after posting a total score of 205 (70-68-67) (-8) at the Yale Golf Course this weekend in New Haven, Conn.
Mackova beat her nearest competitor by three strokes and led the field par-4 scoring with a stroke average of 3.85 (-5) and birdies made with 15. This is her first collegiate win. Maryland came in second in the event as a team.
This is Mackova’s third Solomon Eye Terp of the Week honor. She was previously honored on Oct. 18, 2021, and March 28, 2022.
Patricie Mackova and Maryland are back in action on September 15-16 for the Mercedes-Benz Collegiate Championship in Knoxville, Tenn., at Cherokee Golf Club.
