LOS ANGELES – The No. 15-ranked UCLA women’s golf team competes at the third annual Blessings Collegiate Invitational from Monday, Oct. 3 through Wednesday, Oct. 5, at Blessings Golf Club in Fayetteville, Ark.
The 54-hole stroke play event featuring both the men’s and women’s programs from 11 schools will be available for viewing on Golf Channel each day from 1:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. PT. The tournament plays a par 72 with a course yardage of 6,452.
UCLA finished runner-up at the event a year ago at 10-over 874, 19 strokes back of first-place Arkansas. The Bruins placed runner-up in four total events last season.
Lineup (1-5): Caroline Canales, Ty Akabane, Alessia Nobilio, Annabel Wilson and Zoe Antoinette Campos.
UCLA’s lineup is composed of three sophomores in Canales, Nobilio and Campos.
Field: Arkansas (host), California, No. 18 UCF, No. 17 Clemson, Kansas, Louisville, No. 9 Ole Miss, Mississippi State, No. 6 Texas A&M, UCLA and UNLV.*

Tournament History
In last year’s Blessings Collegiate Invitational, the Razorbacks captured both the team title at 9-under 855, finishing as the only team under par, and medalist honors as Brooke Matthews finished as the only individual under par at 4-under 212.
Nobilio recorded the best finish of her career as runner-up to Brooke Matthews at even par 216 through her three rounds (69-72-75). Also placing within the top 10 for the Bruins was Akabane who tied for fourth at 1-over 217 (74-72-71). Campos tied for 23rd at 10-over to round out UCLA’s top four individual scores.
Nobilio and the Bruins opened the tournament with a first-round lead. UCLA had four players – Nobilio, then-junior Emma Spitz, Akabane and Campos – all in the top 10 to give itself a four-stroke lead.
Back in the Lineup
Zoe Antoinette Campus will make her season debut in Arkansas after missing the Bruins’ season-opening tournament at the Olympic Club two weeks ago with a shoulder injury.
Recapping the USF Intercollegiate
UCLA opened the season with a second-place mark at the USF Intercollegiate at the Olympic Club in San Francisco on Sept. 13. Akabane and Canales were the Bruins’ top scorers, tying for fourth at 3-under for the tournament.
