Pre-Game Habits – How To Feel On Top Of Your Game

Golfers are used to routines – we all have our pre-shot routine, especially on the tee, sometimes one that is so ingrained that we are barely aware that we are doing it. This is when routine becomes easy habit.

Many of us also have a pre-round routine. Sometimes this is no more than superstition – always putting the left shoe on first in the locker room, that sort of thing. But sometimes it is more practical, such as checking that the spikes on our shoes are clear of mud, so as to maintain perfect grip during the swing, and cleaning the grooves on the clubfaces for optimal ball striking. Just simply making sure we have enough tees and balls in the bag and have popped a bottle of water and a nutritional bar in our golf bag is another thing we all find ourselves doing to best prepare for a round.
