KAILUA-KONA, Hawaii – Zoe Antoinette Campos, Alessia Nobilio and Caroline Canales are all situated in the top 10 after the UCLA women’s golf team’s first round at the Nanea Pac-12 Preview. Nobilio recorded the first hole-in-one of her collegiate career with a seven iron off the par-3 11th tee box at Nanea Golf Club.
The Bruins finished 7-under 285, 10 strokes back of first place No. 22 Arizona State. Sun Devil Ashley Menne and Arizona’s Julia Misemer are tied for first after shooting 7-under 66.
Nobilio recorded five birdies on the day to put her in a seven-way tie for ninth at 3-under 70 with fellow Bruin Caroline Canales. Campos collected a team-high six birdies, finishing the day tied for 7th at 4-under 69. It was Campos’ first score in the 60s this season.
Canales had a fairly clean scorecard with just one bogey and four birdies.
Annabel Wilson is tied for 40th at 3-over 76. She birdied the par-5 6th.
The Bruins will tee off in a shotgun start from holes 6-10 at 10:30 a.m. PT.
