The award is presented annually to the top collegiate men’s golfer.
The award is given annually to the top men’s NCAA Division I, II or III, NAIA or NJCAA college golfer, taking into account all collegiate and amateur competitions during a 12-month period from June to May.
Florida is one of nine schools to have at least two members earn the honor and one of three (Tennessee, Vanderbilt) in the SEC.
Biondi started off the summer qualifying for his first major, the U.S. Open. He later helped Team International win the Arnold Palmer Cup and became the first Brazilian to participate in the tournament. The senior began the 2022-23 season ranked No. 1 in the Preseason PGA Tour U Rankings and is currently No. 3. This fall Biondi has played in all five events, appearing in the No. 1 spot four times along with three finishes tournaments under-par. The São Paulo, Brazil native recently placed T7 at the Latin American Amateur Championship (LAAC) at 12-under for his third top-10 at the event. He has been ranked No. 1 in the WAGR among South American players since June 8, 2022.
In four outings this season, Lin has recorded all of them in the top-25 and under par, highlighted by a T5 performance in the fall finale at Isleworth. He also earned PGA Tour Preseason Rankings at No. 21 and has climbed up to No. 17, marking the fourth Gator in the top-25. The senior has shot five rounds under par and only four over in 12 rounds this fall.
