» With a 217 (+1) total, Hunter Thomson led the Wolverines tying for 20th and giving him his fourth top-20 finish of the season. After an opening 64 (-8), Will Anderson battled the final two rounds to tie for 35th with a closing 220 tally.
» Playing as an individual, Jack O’Donnell had a career performance as the tied for 44th with a new career-low 224 tally — 11 shots better than his prior best.

HENDERSON, Nev. — Led by a fourth top-20 finish of the season by sophomore Hunter Thomson, the University of Michigan men’s golf team posted a 299 final-round total on Wednesday (March 1) to finish with an 886 54-hole total and finish 11th at the Lake Las Vegas Intercollegiate played at Reflection Bay Golf Club.
With the first of two events during the Wolverines’ spring break, U-M came out of the gates strong posting an opening 279 (-9) in Monday’s first round as junior Will Anderson used six birdies and an eagle to tie the second-lowest round at U-M with a 64 (-8). Three Wolverine starters closed with sub-par tallies — Thomson (71 (-1) and sophomore Yuqi Liu 71 (-1) — to help put the Wolverines in a tie for second.
Despite an even 72 from Thomson in Tuesday’s second round, the Wolverines were unable to keep their momentum from the first day and posted a 308 tally to fall seven spots into a tie for ninth after 36 holes with a 587 total. With an even-par 72 from redshirt-junior Ben Hoagland and a closing 74 from Thomson, the Maize and Blue was able to bounce back from a slow start to the final round.
Putting together a 217 (+1) tally, Thomson led the Wolverines. After a red-hot start, Anderson closed with a 220 (64-79-77) to tie for 35th, while Hoagland rounded…
