AIKEN, S.C. — After the first day of play, the Wisconsin men’s golf team is in second place out of 15 teams at the 2023 Cleveland Golf Palmetto Intercollegiate. The team is currently led by Cameron Huss, who is tied for first with a -6.

Round 2
Wisconsin recorded their best round of the intercollegiate so far, shooting a -3 to complete day one with two Badgers in the top-5. Maxime Legros led UW in the second round, shooting a -4, bringing his total score to a -5 to T3. Legros shot a team-leading seven birdies in the second round. Cameron Huss tallied a -2 for a total score of -6, placing him tied for first after the two rounds. He is currently tied for second in total birdies among all tournament golfers with 11. Coalter Smith improved his score by five strokes, shooting a +1 for a total of +7, placing him T42. Daniel Aas carded a +2 for a total score of +4 to T29, while Clayton Tribus tallied a +9, bringing his total to +18 to T73.
Round 1
The Badgers started off the day with a +3 to place them in sixth. Huss led Wisconsin, shooting an impressive -4 thanks to six birdies to place second. Legros followed behind with a -1 to T8 after tallying an eagle and three birdies. Aas shot a +2 to T30, while Smith carded a +6 to T58. Tribus rounded out the lineup for the Badgers with a +9 to T67.
