Men’s Golf Posts Solid First and Second Rounds at Lamkin San Diego Classic


SAN DIEGO – The UCLA men’s golf team is situated in fifth place (-3) following two rounds at the Lamkin San Diego Classic at San Diego Country Club on Monday. The Bruins enter Tuesday trailing first-place and course host San Diego State by 13 strokes.
 
Sophomores Pablo Ereño and Omar Morales are both in the top-10 at 3-under for the tournament. Ereño (71-70) recorded 10 birdies across his two rounds while Morales (70-71) added 10 of his own as well as an eagle on the par-5 14th.
 
Redshirt senior Mason Greene is 2-over (73-73) and in a tie for 33rd. Alvaro Muller bounced back from his 3-over 75 in the first round with an even-par 72 in round two.
 
In first place is San Diego State’s Shea Lague at 6-under.
 
The Bruins are currently midway through the front nine of their final round today. Check back for a final tournament update this evening.
