The freshman picked up momentum early, logging an eagle on her first hole of the day (par 5). Her 3-under score consisted of only a single bogey, and marks her lowest single-round score and third round of par or better since joining the team in January 2023. Arora shares the top spot with five other individuals out of the 76-player field.
Emily Hawkins, who is competing as an individual, shot an even 72 in the first round, recording her second round of par or better this season. The graduate is tied for 12th place ahead of round two. Junior Vanessa Gilly and freshman Manassanan Chotikabhukkana both posted first-round scores of 75 (+3). The duo is tied for 28th place with 36 holes to go.
Freshman Caroline Patterson carded a 77 (+5) Monday and is tied for 38th place, while junior Kayla Holden shot +6 (78) and is tied for 45th place ahead of the second round. The Lady Vols are in fifth place at +8 (296) out of the 14 participating teams.
