Devine's 5th Place Finish Highlights Big Ten Championships

PITTSBURGH – Rutgers women’s golf wrapped up the 2022-23 season at the Big Ten Championships on Sunday afternoon at Fox Chapel Golf Club in Pittsburgh.

The Scarlet Knights finished in 14th place overall, shooting a 300 in the final round to finish the tournmanet with a 918 (311-307-300).

Leigha Devine had a memorable performance on the individual end, finishing in fifth place for the highest individual finish for a Scarlet Knight at the Big Ten Championships.

“The team handled the course better today and I am proud of their efforts to compete hard,” head coach Kari Williams said. “The wind and cold made the course play longer but we made a few more putts out there in the final round. Leigha put together an impressive tournament for us and this caps off an incredible year for her. Rikke bounced back and played a solid round today, and Lu hit some great shots this tournament. We are proud of all that Maeve and Nicole accomplished in their careers at Rutgers and they represented our program well. While this wasn’t the finish we had hoped for to end our year, this team battled through every challenge they faced and we are excited about the future.”
